Hi, Matt!!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video!!
I learned that if you want to deliver your joke successfully, you need to understand what kind of people the audience is made up of and choose a joke that suits them.
See you on Tuesday!!
T2 Kanako
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteFrom the video, I learned that we should attract people's attention in order to deliver the jokes successfully.
See you next week!
Momoko, T3
Hi, Matt!! How are you?
ReplyDeleteI related to(rather than learned) the "Know your audience" part.
It's horrible when you don't really know who you're talking to and say something inappropriate.
I mean, I make this mistake very often and regret having said silly things all the time.
I'll tell you this embarassing story of mine at the class...hahaha
See you soon!!
T3 Sayuri
Hi,Matt!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video.

See you next your class!
T3 Yuka
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to have skipped your class last week.
I overslept and got up at 3 p.m. on that day!
Anyway, I watched the video.
Maybe the most important thing for me is to speak with confidence, I think.
See you next week!
T2 Akari

T3 Mai Ishikawa
Hello, Matt!
ReplyDeleteWatching the video, I feel it is difficult to tell a joke because there are 8 steps to do it!!! But I think expression and gesture are very important to be funny joke. I am looking forward to hearing various jokes on class.
See you~!
T2 Sakura
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteCan I tell such a funny joke? This was the first question I had after watching the video. Probably I need to be confident in myself to deliver a good joke. I'll do my best.
See you:)
T2 Tomomi Kimura
As one of the comments on youtube says, it's hard to find this kind of friend, though if there was one, that would be a great help.
ReplyDeleteI've learned that to make a clear stance, silly, strange, etc. is important. If the stance is not clear, the joke will be difficult to be understood by the audience, consequently not funny one.
T2, Masahiro
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI've found it very difficult to make the audience laugh. I didn't expect so much preparation is needed.
But joking is something my presentations are lacking in, so I want to try it.
Good night.
Hiroshi, T3
Hi, Matt.
ReplyDeleteI learned when you tell jokes, you should have confidence.
I'm concerned about performances in the next class, but I'll do my best with confidence.
See you.
T3 Shota
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteOne lesson I got from the video is...
Tested objectively, our jokes will improve.
Jokes have to be examined by a third party in advance.
See you on Tuesday!
T2 Shu
Hello, Matt.
ReplyDeleteI learned the look of a speaker is also important to make a joke. But I still feel it is difficult to think of a funny joke.
See you at the next class.
T3 Hanwen
Hi,Matt.
ReplyDeleteI watched the video, and knew that we should decide the topic according to audience's type, for example whethe they are drunken,or sober etc.
Telling jokes is very difficult!!!
See you.
T3 Mitsuaki
Before watching the video, I've nver thought telling a joke is so complicated! I thought it something that just needs sense of humor. But it doesn't seem so. I understood we can develop our sense of humor and be a good joke-teller by the 8 steps.
ReplyDeleteT3 Syu
I thought it's very difficult to tell a joke!
ReplyDeleteBut I'll try my best to tell a joke with confidence.
See you!
T2 Miho
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the video, I realized I haven't paid much attention to the audience especially to "how they are?"
I'll try to do that.
By the way, I'm sorry for last class.
This week, I'm ready for my presentation!
Also, I'll bring speakers by myself.
See you tomorrow!
T3 Miyuki

I thought it was a good idea to learn from a professional comedian. They know how to make people laugh and the right timing to tell a joke.
ReplyDeleteIt is always good to have a teacher when you try doing new things.
Mika T2
Hi, Matt:)
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest thing that speeches by Japanese lack is "humor", so tomorrow lesson will really be a lesson!! Oh, sorry, of course, every week.
After watching the video, I learned that joke, or humor, can be improved. Because I believed that talent of telling a joke was a thing which people have by nature.
See you tomorrow!!
T2 Kaoru
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI learned from the video that jokes became funnier one if you practice and try to make them so. How you tell jokes is important as well as the content of them.
T3 Yurie
Hi, Matt
ReplyDeleteBesides the contents of the joak, your facial expression and body movements are keypoint.
And, you have to analyze your joak critically.
T2 Naruki
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI learned that joking successfully is difficult. There are so many steps! But I'll try to talk with confidence...
See you tomorrow.
Hiromu T3
Hi,Matt!
ReplyDeleteTo be frank,I am surprised that to tell a joke can have so many steps.
And the one tip to do it verbally and physically does make sense. But it may still be a little hard for me.
I'll improve.
Looking forward to tomoroww's joke telling class.
See you.
Buke T2
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI learned that when telling a joke, you must be confident.
It sounds quite natural, but actually it must be really hard not to be nervous in front of a large audience...
See you!
Erika T2

I need more confidence.

Hi Matt!!
ReplyDeleteThe video is easy to understand how to tell a joke.
I like a scene where the man is practicing in front of the mirror.

See you!
T3 Marina
Hi, Matt!!
ReplyDeleteThis video is very funny, I think.

T2 Sakiko
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to watch this video and know that so many steps are necessary for successful joking. I learned good joke needs to hook audiences from the moment you start to talk.
Joke sounds really difficult. But I'll do my best.
See you.
T2 Iyona
Good morning, Matt!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sleepy today bacause I went to Disneyland yesterday(~o~)
I've never thought deeply about how to make a joke in daily lives so far.
In Japanese, I'm maybe doing the points in this movie unconsciously.
But sometimes I joke to myself! At that time, there are no freinds!
So this movie itself is a joke to one who doesn't have any friends!lol
T2 Aisha
Hi,Matt!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video!
It was so interesting and easy to understand:)
I think the most important thig is to catch audiences' heart at the biginning!
Well...however,it's so difficult:(
I have own jokes only few so today's class will be hard for me~~~ahhh:P
See you soooooon!
T3 Shiori.T
Hi Matt!

T2 Tomomi Kondo
Hi, Matt!
ReplyDeleteFrom the video,
I learned that it's important to catch the heart of audience from the beginning.
It's very difficult... but I'll try to.
See you!
Aoi, T3
I got that we need to investigate technical points in telling jokes and follow it. But what can be said in ganeral is that you should be confident. If you are scared or afraid of being teased it makes difficult for you to tell successful jokes.
ReplyDeleteThat's it.
T3 Ken.
Hi,Matt!
ReplyDeleteI learned from the video that I must plactice
my joke very hard and have a confidence in it in order to succed.
T3 Asuka
Hi, Matt.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't watch this article on Monday.
I'm so sorry..(;_;)
What I learned from this video
is to be confortable when I say jokes.
'm sorry for late again.
